Chili oil

Bursting with flavor this chili oil, a perfect combination to our Delicious&Fresh Gyoza.
This chili oil carries just the right proportion of flavour with a tinge of sweetness to the whole spices. A dip that you and your guest will be craving for more.

  1. In a small frying pan, toast the (whole spices) star anise, cinnamon stick, bay leaves, Sichuan peppercorns and cardamom pods over medium-high heat until well toasted and till the flavour is released. Keep it aside.
  2. In a small saucepan, heat the neutral tasting oil over medium heat.
  3. Add the toasted spices to the warm oil and wait for the spices to gently sizzle. Cook at a gentle sizzle for 3-4 minutes.
  4. Remove from the heat and allow to cool for 5 minutes.
  5. Add the chili powder, salt and sugar and mix well. Store it in a heat proof jar and voila.
  6. Your dip is ready to be served!
