This fragrant and aromatic ginger scallion condiment is paired well with our Delicious&Fresh Shumai or the Gyoza’s on our menu. This requires just a few ingredients and packed with so much flavour, you’ll be craving for more.
2 large scallions or green onions
50gms raw ginger peeled
3/4 cup neutral oil (vegetable, rice bran)
1 tsp salt
1/8 tsp Chinese 5 spice powder (Optional)
In a small saucepan, heat the neutral tasting oil over medium heat.
Finely chop the green onions, slice the peeled ginger into thin strips and place it in a heat proof bowl.
Add the green onions and ginger to the warm oil and let it be on the heat till it sizzles for 3 – 4 minutes.
Carefully add the salt as per your preference and mix well.
